Summer vacations at the riding stables - holidays of a very special variety. This is a place where you can enjoy living with horses around the clock. Here, everyone - young or old - is always more than welcome, whether you would like to sample that unique bliss you only feel on horseback, or if you are already a pro.

In addition, you can take full advantage of all the tourist attractions located in the Salzburg Sports World; Altenmarkt and Zauchensee offer numerous fantastic opportunities for cyclists, hikers, families and "relaxers". Excursions to the nearby provincial capital, or perhaps up to the top of the Dachstein, are no problem at all - or maybe you'd simply prefer to sunbathe next to the pool. Explore our surrounding countryside from atop your motorcycle. All of the Herzgsells are enthusiastic bikers, so you're sure to benefit from our experience and knowledge of the most beautiful tours in the entire region ! Magnificent rides over the mountains of the Radstädter Tauern, through the Sölktäler valleys and out to the mighty Grossglockner, are certain to be experiences that leave you with lasting memories. Or maybe you'll take the "Tour d'Amour" through the Amade Sports World, a gathering of motorcyclists which sets out from Altenmarkt. Enjoy guided tours led by owner, Robert, a biker freak in his own right and proud owner of his own BMW!

In winter, take advantage of our optimal location in the midst of the ski area. The Zauchtalerhof lies directly on the ski slopes of the Altenmarkt- Radstadt ski alliance. Zauchensee is also easy to reach via the free ski shuttle. The legendary "Tauern Trail" - where the famous annual Tauern Run is held, is only 900 meters away. And let's not forget - winter riding is an incomparable experience unto itself. Heading out along winter hiking paths and enjoying the glorious panoramas, or exploring the area while out on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride!

Direct access to the slopes of the "Ski Circus" right from our front door - awaiting you are the state-of-the-art lifts of the Ski Amadé, magnificent sun-drenched slopes, sun-skiing in springtime and friendly ski lodges when it's time for refreshments. Located at the base station in Altenmarkt is a practice lift for beginners and a ski kindergarten for the "little dudes".

Classic wellness facility: Finnish sauna or steam sauna, infrared cabin with colored light therapy, Kneipp spa fed by our own spring waters, as well as a relaxation area.
